To represent members in providing the Australian community with advice and guidance on effective, modern and professional first aid and emergency care practice.

We will achieve this by the development and enforcement of self-regulation through our code of ethics and through the promotion of research into first aid and emergency care practice and training
Objectives:

• Represent the interests of members at all levels of government and in all relevant community bodies

• Promote the vital importance of first aid as the foundation of effective emergency medical care

• Provide advice and guidance on first aid and pre-hospital emergency medical practice and training to community and government

• Design, develop and enforce codes of professional conduct for members

• Ensure a national focus for the first aid training industry
